Welcome to the ‘Build a Well Madagascar’ fundraising page!
Located in Ontario, Canada, our high school Central Peel Secondary School is home to one of the many Z Clubs from around the world. These clubs were created by the international organization of Zonta, in order to bring its mission of empowering women through service and advocacy to high school and university students.
Each year, our team contributes to one of Zonta’s International Service Projects and for the year of 2017-2018 we aspire to fund the building of a well in Madagascar. Along with the many other benefits that come with clean water, the accessibility of education for young girls is one of them.
With both the well and the programs supported by Drop in the Bucket, girls will be provided with health education and emotional support within schools, along with washable and reusable sanitary pads that they otherwise would have lacked. This will reduce the amount of girls who, once they have reached puberty, miss a week of school each month and as a result fall so behind on their studies that they are unable to catch up and must drop out.
We ask that you please take the time to donate as your contribution can make all the difference!
If you can’t make a donation at this point, please consider sharing this page on Facebook, Twitter or other social media platforms!
Or, even better, send an e-mail to friends you think might be interested in contributing and include a link to our page!
Thank you so much for your support and generosity!
