The Akado-Obangin Community well is located in Obangin village in the Akore parish of the Ogolai sub-county in the Amuria District of Uganda.

With a population of over 450 people, the community members were sharing an open water source which was strained and would often dry up. The community members would have to wait for over two hours for the well to replenish regardless of whether it was in a wet or dry season. Though the situation was considerably worse during the dry season. The community was overwhelmed with joy because they said this was “the first ever real well in the area”.
