While surveying the water situation in the Bardege-Layibi sub-County of Gulu, Uganda, we visited Kati-Kati Cell village. The area did have a borehole, but it did not provide enough water for the population. We knew that if we were to drill a well there, it would have to have a high yield.
In November 2021, Drop in the Bucket drilled a borehole well in Kati-Kati Cell village. We drilled to a depth of 50 meters and the well had a yield of 5.5 cubic meters per hour. This high-yielding well was perfect for a village with such a large population.
