Before Drop in the Bucket drilled a well for the Paitino Primary School, the pupils would have to walk 4 kms to the nearest source of clean water. Due to the long distance, they would often resort to drinking any water they could find. This meant that the majority of water they were drinking was not clean and not safe to drink. Illnesses caused by consuming dirty water were very common in the village and in the school, so everyone is happy that the school finally has a well. The well is used by the school and the local community.
