The Abule Primary School in Uganda, district Soroti and sub-county Tubur, has 522 students with 251 boys and 271 girls.
The new well is 60 meters deep and yields 500 liters of water per hour. We first struck water at 8 meters, but needed to go much deeper to get to the aquifer. The top soil was laterite clay which we went through very quickly. Next we reached weathered rock and then granite. Once we reached the aquifer, we kept drilling so until we knew we would have a continuous, year-round supply of safe, clean water.
