Acowa-Agogomit community well is located in Agogomit village, Mukura Sub-County, Ngora district.
Before the well was constructed, the people in this village had to walk 4 kilometers to fetch water. Women who have the responsibility of collecting water suffered a lot as this affected their other domestic work. Domestic violence was on the increase in the communities as women would sometimes be beaten by their husbands due to their husbands getting angry about the time spent fetching water. Now that they have clean water from the new well, domestic violence has been reduced and the women are living happier lives.
