The Kalengo Community well is located in Kalengo village, Ngora Sub County, Ngora district in Teso sub Region.
The women of Kalengo have always walked long distances in order to access clean water. Since the borehole was drilled distances to the water point and time spent in collecting water have considerably reduced. The men in the community have come forward to support in fencing, operation and maintenance of the shallow well. This has enhanced harmony between men and women and create a better gender balance within the community.
