The Lwawuna Primary School is located in the Nabingoola sub-County of the Mubende district of central Uganda. The school has 902 children and the well serves the school and three neighboring villages.
Before the well, the nearest source of clean water was a well 2 km away, too far for the school to use on a daily basis. Instead the children would get water from local ponds and were often very sick. The new well will help the children not miss so many school days.
