Madera School for the Blind

Help Provide the Gift of Hope for Blind Children in Uganda

Drop in the Bucket – Madera School For The Blind from Drop in the Bucket on Vimeo.

Being a child growing up in Uganda is already a challenge…but being a blind child brings dangers beyond those even sighted children must endure. All children deserve a clean, safe place to live, learn and play. The Madera School for the Blind provides just such a safe haven for these underserved, at-risk children.

Since our last newsletter, DROP has completed two sets of bathrooms that have toilets, sinks and showers. We have also built two septic systems at the school. The next step is a well with a solar pump. This will provide the school with a permanent supply of safe water.

But we still need your help. Please consider making a donation to this amazing school so that we can help these children and their teachers to achieve all of their education goals and be able to become productive members of society.

We are so close to finishing this project, please help us get this last step done by making a donation.

If you work for a company that manufactures musical instruments and would like to help the children at Madera by providing them with marching drums, brass or percussion instruments, please send us an email.
