The Odoom-Adacar primary school is located in the Usuk sub-county in the Katakwi district of Uganda.
The school currently has a population of 171 pupils and 11 teachers. Before the safe water was provided, the school had been deserted and had only 87 pupils and 7 Teachers. The parents had no interest in encouraging their children to attend school, but that all changed once the well was installed. The school now has access to clean and safe water which has changed both the lives of the community, teachers and the pupils. The water at school has almost doubled in attendance from 87 to 171 and the ratio of teachers to pupil has also improved. The communities around the school which used to walk long distances for water now access water from the school hence reducing the distances and time spent in collecting water.
