Olengoi-Ogadia Community Well

The Olengoi-Ongadia Community well is located in the Olengoi village, Kateta Sub County in the Serere district of Uganda.

The community is located near a landing site and before the construction of the water source community members mainly relied on water from the lake which was polluted with feaces hence diseases such as typhoid, worms, skin diseases, were very common. Apart from being unsafe, the water was also salty making it unfit for human consumption. With the borehole the people now enjoy clean and safe water which is easily accessible within a distance of 1 kilometer.
